SnapeCall is a family business in Gloucestershire and the market leader in domestic insurance repairs and restoration in the Southwest. Having recently been awarded additional work from a long standing client we are now looking to strengthen our claims team in the Southwest.

The Role

This is a full-time role which covers the Avon and Somerset area predominantly, but may require some travel into surrounding areas to assist colleagues when necessary. Suitable candidates will be home based, familiar with the area covered and supported from our head office in Gloucestershire, as well as colleagues already based in your area.

The successful candidate will typically work on multiple buildings insurance claims at any one time. They will meet with our customers in their homes to identify and validate building damage, specify and schedule necessary repairs, prepare estimates from a clients schedule of rates and then organise materials and labour to undertake the approved works, all on behalf of our Insurance clients.

At times they will need to 'get their hands dirty' to get to the bottom of a problem in the home, maybe to find a leak, or to assist in opening parts of the home up to assist with drying a property. Previous building experience is essential.

There is a team of support staff and our own trades, along with our approved network of sub contractors who can assist our customers to get their homes back to normal on behalf of their insurer. Having your own 'black book' of trades would be very beneficial.

Personal specification

A background in any of the following areas is considered;
Insurance reinstatement and/or restoration.

Building Surveying & Estimating.

A building trades background.

Experience of domestic insurance repair work is desirable but not essential. Construction and building repair experience is essential. Evidence of excellent customer service skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to use general office software including Microsoft word and excel. Commercial awareness to ensure works are undertaken profitably. Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines when necessary. An attention to detail and willingness to take responsibility for all work. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a strong team as necessary.

Location

Based in Bristol or Somerset preferably, or close by if you're the right candidate. Work will predominantly be in Avon and Somerset, with some regional travel into the surrounding Counties as required.
