Are you a proactive and strategic thinker with experience in document control? If so, we invite you to apply for our Document Control Lead within our Building Safety Directorate. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity, accessibility, and compliance of project documentation across Southern Housing's most complex and high-impact delivery programmes. You will establish and uphold best-in-class document control systems that align with Southern Housing's internal policies and external regulatory frameworks, including ISO 19650-1 and 19650-2. Your leadership will be instrumental in coordinating document control activities across a diverse range of stakeholders, design consultants, contractors, and internal delivery teams, ensuring that the Golden Thread of Information is preserved and traceable throughout the entire lifecycle of each project.
This is a permanent position working 35 hours a week. Your main office will be Fleet House, Farringdon, where you will be expected to work from 2 days a week and the rest from home.
What you'll need
Experience in document control, ideally within large-scale construction, infrastructure, or construction consultancy background.
Educated to degree level/post graduate qualification in construction management, information management, engineering or a related field or have an equivalent level of experience and knowledge.
Good knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022, Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, Building Regulation 2010, Construction and Design Management Regulations 2010 and other related building legislation.
In depth knowledge of ISO 19650 and other relevant industry standards e.g. ISO 9001.
Familiarity with Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes (desirable).
Formal training or certification related to ISO 19650 or other relevant industry standards (desirable).
