Due to continued business growth, we have a great opportunity for a Chartered Building Surveyor to join our team in Leeds.


We have a depth and breadth of experience, expertise, and local knowledge to support our clients at every stage of property investment, ownership, and occupation from acquisition to disposal. The role provides an opportunity to be part of an ambitious team who continue to grow in line with the company growth strategy.


The successful candidate will be part of a team of building surveyors covering all aspects of professional and project related building surveying across a wide range of sectors including educational, commercial, industrial etc.

The role will cover the full spectrum of building surveying services including (but not limited to) design and specification, clerk of works, contract administration surveys and dilapidations.

What you need to do to be effective in this role



Lead & develop detailed briefs in conjunction with the Client and senior colleagues Establish & maintain client relationships Support business development activities by senior colleagues Carry out site surveys (including measured surveys, condition surveys & defect analysis) Produce designs and specifications including preparation of tender documentation Administering building contracts (JCT and NEC) Undertake all aspects of professional surveying work (including condition surveys, specific defect analysis, party wall consultancy, dilapidations, insurance inspections and claims advice. Plus, Reinstatement Cost Assessment valuations) Liaise with clients, contractors & other consultants (internal and external) Assist the team leader with project finances, recruitment, mentoring and team leadership

The skills and experience you need to have for this role



MRICS Chartered Well organised, diligent, and proactive A full driving licence Good IT skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, AutoCAD, NBS and other software)

You will need to be personable, presentable and have good communication skills in this client facing role. An ability to produce your own documentation based on our standards is essential, as is an ability to organise, manage your time efficiently in the delivery of the services for multiple projects at any one time.
