Job Description

We are looking for a warm and organised individual who is highly competent with IT and thrives on multitasking. You will be part of our administrative team based in our busy Reception office which is the smiling face of our school, ensuring all members of our community feel welcomed and are well-supported when they work and visit here. We are ambitious for the wide range of brilliant and exciting opportunities which our school provides every day to be shared widely and so part of this role will also be running our social media profiles. As a growing school, roles can evolve and so we are also hoping to receive applicants from individuals who are looking to grow and develop.

Key purpose of the role:




Enable the Trust to realise its mission to 'Transform lives, strengthen communities and make the world a better place by providing efficient, effective and professional administrative support.

Your responsibilities:







Working under the instruction and guidance of the Business Lead, provide general administrative support duties, including answering incoming calls and taking messages, booking meeting rooms, typing, filing, collating and distributing information Take an active role in the administration of suspensions Maintain and update information including records and databases Support with HR, Finance and general office administration Undertake reception duties and cover for absent colleagues where necessary Be willing to undertake First Aid and Fire Marshall training Establish constructive relationships with students, parents/carers and colleagues






Grading criteria:






Follow clear instructions for the role Contacts will be straight forward Support colleagues to familiarise themselves with their role Undertake work which is carried out within clearly defined rules of procedures Make decisions which have limited or short-term effects on immediate colleagues, students or members of the community Work where tasks are interchanged but the program is not normally interrupted Will be competent following initial induction in role

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship we would hope to be able to offer a fulltime role for to the candidate.



Training Provided:


You will attend Exeter College one day a week (during term time) working towards the Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship.
