Job Description
We are currently seeking a professional and reliable
Bulgarian Interpreter
to provide high-quality interpreting and translation services. The ideal candidate will have excellent command of both Bulgarian and English and be able to interpret spoken language in real-time, as well as translate written documents with accuracy and cultural sensitivity.Key Responsibilities:
Provide
consecutive and/or simultaneous interpreting
between Bulgarian and English in various settings (e.g. medical, legal, community, or business meetings). Translate written documents from English to Bulgarian and vice versa, ensuring accuracy, tone, and cultural relevance. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Prepare for assignments by reviewing relevant terminology and subject matter. Assist with communication between parties who speak different languages to ensure mutual understanding.Requirements:
Fluency in both
Bulgarian and English
(spoken and written). Proven experience ininterpreting and translating
, preferably in a professional setting. Excellent listening, memory, and note-taking skills. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Desirable:
A formal
interpreting or translation qualification
(e.g., Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI), CIOL certification, or equivalent). Experience in a specific field such as legal, medical, or community interpreting.Additional Information:
Flexible working hours may be available depending on assignment type. This role may require occasional travel to different locations or remote work via phone/video call.
Job Types: Part-time, Freelance
Pay: 15.00-20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 per week
