Overview

We require a Burger Cook on a part time basis approx 16hrs per week based in Genoa Newry. The successful candidate will be reliable, hardworking and willing to learn, a background in catering or fast food would be an advantage. Please only apply if you can work weekend shifts!

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook burgers on the hot plate according to established recipes and menu specifications. Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored. Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as necessary. Provide excellent service by interacting with customers when required, ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a takeaway food setting. Strong skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques or willingness to learn Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. A passion for cooking and creating high-quality food. Previous experience in serving or customer interaction is advantageous but not essential.
