About the Role

Richards Bros is a long-established, family-run bus and coach operator delivering a wide range of public transport services across Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and Carmarthenshire. Our operations include TrawsCymru, local town services, school transport, coastal services, and Flexi Bus routes.

We are recruiting Operations Supervisors to help manage the daily delivery of services, ensuring safety, reliability, and high standards for our passengers. You will coordinate driver and vehicle allocations, respond to live operational issues, deal with customer complaints, and support the smooth running of services across our network.

You will also be required to liaise regularly with the Transport for Wales operational team to ensure contract requirements and service standards are met.

This role includes the use of (and full training in) the Optibus scheduling system, a modern cloud-based platform for duty, roster and resource management.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily service delivery across all routes Allocate drivers and vehicles, responding to changes and incidents in real time Use or train on the Optibus scheduling system Deal directly with customer queries and complaints, ensuring timely and professional resolution Liaise with Transport for Wales representatives on service performance and reporting Maintain accurate duty records, attendance data, and service logs Support drivers and enforce company procedures and safety standards Work closely with depot and engineering teams to manage resources effectively

What We're Looking For

Experience in transport operations, logistics or supervision preferred Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills Confident in dealing with customers and resolving service issues professionally IT-literate - training on

Optibus

provided Ability to work calmly under pressure and make effective decisions

Full PSV (Category D) licence preferred

- or we can provide full training Willingness to work on a

4-on / 2-off rota
