The Role
We're seeking an experienced and motivated
Apprenticeship Tutor/Assessor
to deliver
Business Administration and Management Standards
(typically Levels 2-5).
You'll be responsible for guiding apprentices through their learning journey -- delivering engaging training sessions, supporting skills development, assessing evidence, and preparing learners for end-point assessment (EPA).
This role requires a passionate educator who can balance high-quality teaching with effective employer engagement and compliance with ESFA and Ofsted requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and contextualised training in
Business Administration, Team Leading, and Management
apprenticeship standards.
Conduct regular reviews with learners and employers to monitor progress and achievement.
Support apprentices in developing knowledge, skills, and behaviours aligned to their role and apprenticeship standard.
Prepare and guide learners through gateway and EPA.
Provide constructive feedback, action plans, and individualised support to ensure timely completion.
Use e-portfolio systems (e.g. Smart Assessor) to maintain accurate learner records and progress tracking.
Work collaboratively with internal quality teams to maintain compliance and continuous improvement.
Keep up to date with industry, curriculum, and funding guidance changes.
Essential Requirements
Recognised Assessor qualification (A1, D32/D33, or CAVA/TAQA).
Teaching qualification (AET, PTLLS, or equivalent).
Occupational competence in Business Administration and/or Management.
Experience delivering apprenticeship standards (Business Admin, Team Leader/Supervisor, Operations/Departmental Manager).
Strong organisational and communication skills with a learner-centred approach.
Ability to manage a caseload of learners effectively and meet retention/completion targets.
Desirable Skills & Experience
IQA qualification (V1, TAQA L4, or equivalent).
Experience delivering Functional Skills (English, Maths, ICT).
Knowledge of Ofsted Tool Kit and apprenticeship funding rules.
Experience working with Smart Assessor, or similar platforms.
