Our Benefits

Salary: \xc2\xa321,828 per annum (Grade 2)

Hours: 35 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm)

The Opportunity

On the whole, you\xe2\x80\x99ll get to use your passion and interests in Business Administration to bring forward fresh ideas and provide an outstanding service to our students.

You will join a team of experienced Administrators and other members of the Practice Learning Team who assist in the facilitation of practice learning opportunities ( for more info) in a range of health and social care settings for students aligned to the School of Health and Social Care.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll gain a broad understanding of Practice Learning, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and building positive relationships with our students to support them throughout their academic journey. This includes learning and putting into practice a variety of administration skills, including operating computer-based applications, carrying out office duties and inputting/extracting data aligned to specific projects.

Our Practice Learning Team are one of four teams within Student Futures at Edinburgh Napier. There may be opportunities over the course of the apprenticeship to work with other teams.

The idea is to ensure you establish a great foundation to set you off on your career in Business Administration. You\xe2\x80\x99ll get valuable and hands-on experience to build your future career in administration and get to do it at an establishment that offers modern facilities, cutting edge latest technology and all the space you\xe2\x80\x99ll need to excel - with our break-out spaces, fully connected meeting rooms, places to discuss group projects or simply just to get to know talented people from all over the world!

What we\xe2\x80\x99ll need from you

In accordance with Modern Apprenticeship Funding Criteria, you will need to be aged 16-24 (at the point of starting the apprenticeship) or and up to 29 if you have a noted disability or care experience to be eligible to apply for this position.

We\xe2\x80\x99re also looking for you to have:
  • At least 3 National 4 or 5\xe2\x80\x99s (or equivalent) in relevant business-related subject areas (e.g. English, Maths, Business Studies, ICT).
  • An interest and enthusiasm in working in an office environment/business administration.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office packages (e.g. word, excel).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team whilst being able to manage own responsibilities.
