THE ROLE



Business Advisory Advisor - Glasgow





Purpose of the role/key responsibilities:


Undertake and execute planning and completion of accounts preparation assignments, including liaising with other departments.

Production of accurate monthly and quarterly management accounts to client and third party deadlines.

Act as a point of contact for clients queries.

Undertake technical research and help to resolve technical issues as they arise following discussion with a senior member of the client team.

Taking an active role in the preparation, agenda and follow up actions as delegated by partners/managers and maintain contact with client throughout the entire accounts preparation and management accounts process to resolve queries in a proactive manner.

Mentor and manage work delegated to junior members of the team while still being responsible for overall delivery to meet deadlines.

Be responsible for undertaking work in line with budget and demonstrate commercial awareness on jobs, including setting expectations on deliverables with junior members of team.

Experience and skill set required for the role:


Finalist/newly qualified professional qualification (ICAS/ACCA or equivalent) or qualified by experience.

Candidates will be required to have a good working knowledge of clients accounting systems such as Xero.

Previous mentoring experience would be beneficial.

Previous experience of working in a similar role within a practice firm.

Experience of working to tight deadlines

Experience of a client facing role and working when required at client premises.

Experience of technical compliance and advisory work

Communication - Open communication with partners/managers on job progress, budget progress and queries you have with work.
