About the Role:
As a Business Analyst, you'll be at the heart of driving transformation by reimagining and streamlining business processes, uncovering valuable insights from data, and translating complex requirements into practical solutions. Your work will span across diverse services and corporate teams, where you'll spot opportunities to harness technology for smarter, more effective ways of working. By championing well-integrated, user-centred digital solutions, you'll ensure our systems are not only fit for today's needs but ready for tomorrow's challenges.
This is a hybrid role, where you will be expected to be in the office four days per week subject to business needs.
This post is offered on a two year fixed term contract.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and deliver high-quality business analysis across a range of transformation initiatives.
Collaborate with service managers, stakeholders, and project teams to understand business needs and identify opportunities for improvement.
Design and lead workshops, interviews, and stakeholder engagement activities to gather insights and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Champion customer-centric design thinking and identify automation opportunities to drive efficiency.
Work with the ICT team to translate business needs into technical specifications and digital solution requirements.
Support the development of business cases, options appraisals, impact assessments, implementation plans, and cost-benefit analyses.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of changes on customers, services, systems, data, and service delivery, providing recommendations for further optimisation.
Champion a culture of innovation, evidence-based decision-making, and continuous improvement.
About You:
Holds a professional qualification in Business Analysis or has proven experience in business and systems analysis roles within transformation or change programmes.
Experience in public sector, local government, or similarly complex environments is desirable.
Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
Excellent research, analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Familiarity with systems architecture, integration, and data flow mapping.
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, MS Visio, and process mapping tools (e.g., BPMN, Visio).
Proactive with a strong focus on delivering results and continuous improvement.
