Job Description

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Asset Management Continuous Improvement Team. This role is central to driving business improvement across the University by assessing current practices, designing future processes, and ensuring solutions meet user needs. Working closely with technical and functional teams, you will help shape how we deliver efficient, effective services that support the University's wider mission.


Key Responsibilities




Lead analysis and documentation of existing processes and system inputs/outputs using industry-standard tools. Design and improve business systems and processes, including drafting functional specifications and system configuration documents. Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement to secure buy-in and sign-off for new processes. Support system testing, training, and user documentation to ensure successful implementation. Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams, translating complex requirements into clear, actionable solutions.

About You




To succeed in this role, you will bring:


Strong understanding of business analysis and change management concepts. Experience working with IT solutions and business process mapping tools. Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to innovate and solve complex problems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and BA tools such as Visio or Miro. Outstanding communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels. A degree-level qualification or equivalent experience. Experience in higher education or not-for-profit sectors and familiarity with business process capture tools would be an advantage.
