Job Duties and Responsibilities:

On a daily basis, as a Business Analyst you will be responsible for understanding the business goals that are to be addressed by technology-based initiatives and to assist in the delivery of projects that support Intersoft in achieving these goals. Whilst each project will have its own success factors and require you to leverage a different set of skills, your key toolkit will include requirements & business analysis and strong communication skills (both verbal and written).

Your drive to understand the real needs behind projects (and their success factors), will enable you to ensure that fit-for-purpose solutions are delivered on time and in full within our dynamic environment.

As an experienced BA you will excel at setting and meeting the expectations of your client-base. Working in an agile environment, working with project teams to define stories and derive tasks, using JIRA to monitor progress.

Key responsibilities include:



Work closely with the Projects function to understand project needs

Work closely with Product Owners, Sales and Support teams and end customers to understand customer needs and business drivers

Elicit functional, process and system requirements

Elicit requirements for all aspects of software systems, including user interfaces, system APIs and integrations with third-party APIs

Document requirements as user stories with detailed acceptance criteria

Document acceptance criteria in Gherkin format (Given, When, Then)

Produce diagrams and other documentation as needed to support user stories, such as process diagrams and wireframes

Demonstrate completed work to internal and/or external clients e.g. in end of sprint reviews

Conduct and support super user training/train-the-trainer activities

Provide the link between the customer, development team and any third-party regarding software functionality, throughout the development lifecycle

Quickly understand the business issues and data challenges of different parts of the organisation

Expected experience & skills:



Demonstrable business analysis experience Experience working in an Agile environment and following the SCRUM framework Extensive experience of defining requirements and user stories in a digital environment, e.g. websites, apps, internal systems Strong facilitation and requirements elicitation skills Experience writing requirements as user stories, with accept criteria in Gherkin format (Given, When, Then) Experience analysing and documenting complex business processes Demonstrable experience working with API-based systems and on systems integration projects Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt style to suit the audience (confident in the delivery of formal and informal documentation and presentations) Ability to produce clear documentation and communication to both technical and non-technical audiences Strong stakeholder management skills and experience of working with challenging stakeholders Experience of both internal and external customer interaction e.g. stakeholder management, workshops

Beneficial skills:



Previous experience in the logistics industry;

Experience using JIRA to write user stories and manage product backlogs;
