The Role
The Business Analyst serves as a crucial link between business stakeholders and functional teams, dedicated to improving business processes and efficiency through the effective use of technology solutions. This role involves eliciting, documenting, and analysing business requirements, translating them into actionable specifications for development, and supporting the full life-cycle of solution implementation. The Business Analyst will act as an interpreter and a subject matter expert, ensuring that technical solutions align with business objectives and deliver tangible value.
This role will sit within our European Head Office teams, working with our sales, operations, and customer experience teams. This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to expand their experience with a real focus on large-scale programmes from the start through to completion of projects and programmes. All whilst building knowledge and expertise into our internal processes.
What will you be doing?
Requirements Elicitation & Analysis: Collaborate with internal business areas to understand current processes, identify challenges, and elicit detailed end-user requirements. Define the scope, objectives, and baseline requirements for projects
Solution Design & Definition: Work closely with architecture and design teams to translate business requirements into valid solution design options. Prepare recommendations and business cases for system and/or process changes, evaluating alternative solutions (bespoke, package, or portfolio systems)
Process Optimisation & Documentation: Provide expertise in business process analysis, identifying gaps, and proposing corrective actions. Coordinate, develop, and document standard business processes that are adaptable to meet specific local requirements. Gather, create, and document current and future business process flows
System Implementation & Support: Support the implementation of new or revised solutions, including detailed configuration tasks. Ensure appropriate training strategies are defined and delivered. Manage the implementation, testing, and documentation of new processes and applications
Quality Assurance & Testing: Ensure delivered solutions meet business requirements through system testing and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) prior to deployment. Support various testing cycles (UAT, regression, system) and manage testing environments
Project Management & Communication: Contribute to and prepare requirements definitions. Manage project scope, escalate issues, and provide timely progress reports to management. Effectively communicate ideas and findings of analysis through written, graphical, and oral presentations to diverse audiences, including senior management
Change Management: Assess and communicate agreed business process changes, facilitating the adoption of new or enhanced solutions within the business. Ensure seamless handover of process ownership to local business management teams upon project completion
Technical Liaison: Act as the go-to person for communication between application development, IT, and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment and mutual understanding. Understand the constraints and advantages of the technical environment.
