Business Analyst
Glasgow

As a Barclays Business Analyst, you will know join the Fixed Income Financing Technology team, which is responsible for development and support of all iRepo/XGEN trading applications globally. The Technology team works directly with repo traders, sales and other departments located worldwide, with the main centers in US, EU and APAC. Systems supported are a combination of in-house development and third-party packages, using a variety of technologies.

We are currently operating in a hybrid working environment, meaning that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Please discuss the detail of the working pattern options for the role with the hiring manager.

What will you be doing?

• Engaging with users to understand the business ask, providing complete analyses (start to finish) and support for application improvement
• Coordinating with various systems on business requirements to understand & define these requirements and timeline for system updates
• Carry out impact assessment on business requirements as and when required
• Using Agile methodology/help driving regular scrums, backlog refinements including setup regular sessions & touch points with developers to clarify & understand these requirements
• Preparing test cases and help executing the test cases during UAT
• Working to achieve business outcomes on a timely manner, whilst raise issues & concerns to the correct stakeholder
• Becoming a SME in repurchase agreement (repo) area represent technology in various forums

What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:

• Prior experience within the Business Analysis / Data analytics for Investment Banking Capital Markets Domain
• Previous experience or knowledge of Repo Trading Markets
• Proven ability to perform requirements gathering and analysis
• Prior experience creating process flow, data flow diagrams using right tools and technologies

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Problem solving skills to review operational data issues and provide a solution by defining a data strategy
• Expertise and ability to build SQL queries
• Experience in Electronic Trading application
