As a Barclays Business Analyst, you will join us to work closely with Business and Technology colleagues and to focus on defining requirements. You will ensure that system enhancements are understood by all parties and deployed to the end user successfully. You will be required to ensure Barclays standards are adhered to and that all project requirements are met.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We\xe2\x80\x99re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances. What will you be doing?

  • You will be responsible for elicitation, definition and management of complex requirements assisting with the programme\xe2\x80\x99s workstreams
  • Helping administer and providing central coordination of requirements defined in the Programme\xe2\x80\x99s requirements management solution
  • Managing all facets of requirements governance including approval, traceability, configuration and change control and can contribute to the improvement of disciplines
  • Supporting the development and test teams to ensure accurate implementation of business requirements
  • Assisting the business with user acceptance testing and user documentation
  • Working closely with internal teams to stay informed with changes across all work streams to ensure a consistent approach to change
  • Contributing to the transformation agenda, providing insights to the application usage and identifying improvement opportunities
What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:
  • Experience of working in an Agile development environment inclusive of its methodologies (Scrum/ Kanban) and helping toolset (i.e. Jira, Confluence)
  • Experience with documenting user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Analytically minded and able to identify innovative solutions to complex problems
  • Experienced with producing business process models aligned to BPMN standards
Skills that will help you in the role
  • Experience in the financial sector, in particular payment solutions for personal and corporate banking markets
  • Recognized Business Analyst qualifications or relevant experience
  • Sound knowledge of payment and reporting business flows and of supporting message formats
  • Some experience of delivery of requirements and analysis specification for regulatory projects
Where will you be working?
You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64 acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play. We have an onsite gym, as well as outdoor tennis, football and cricket areas, as well as onsite restaurant and coffee shops.
