About the Job you are considering:


We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Design Analyst to drive initiatives within the Core Acquiring domain. This role is pivotal in bridging business objectives with technology solutions, ensuring that acquiring platforms, payment processing systems, and related services meet operational, regulatory, and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of card acquiring processes, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable deliverables.

Hybrid working:

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Key Responsibilities:



Requirements Gathering & Analysis

Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate functional and non-functional requirements for acquiring systems. Analyze existing processes to identify optimization and automation opportunities. Ensure requirements comply with industry standards, security, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., PCI DSS).

Solution Design Support

Work closely with product owners, architects, and development teams to translate business needs into technical specifications. Support design workshops and provide clarity on acquiring workflows, settlement processes, and transaction lifecycles.

Stakeholder Engagement

Act as a liaison between business units, technology teams, and external vendors. Facilitate workshops, requirement walkthroughs, and sign-off sessions.

Testing & Validation

Define acceptance criteria and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for acquiring platform enhancements. Validate that delivered solutions meet business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain comprehensive documentation including process flows, use cases, and data mapping. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on progress, risks, and dependencies.


Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, IT, or related field. Proven experience as a Business Analyst in payments or acquiring systems. Strong understanding of card acquiring processes, transaction flows, settlement, and chargebacks. Familiarity with ISO 8583, payment gateways, and integration patterns. Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.


Preferred Skills:

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, and process modeling software. Exposure to regulatory frameworks and compliance standards in financial services.
