First Choice Homes Oldham (FCHO) have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our Project Management Office (PMO) and play a key role in shaping and delivering change across the organisation.


This is a full-time, hybrid role where you'll split your time between home and our friendly, collaborative office in the centre of Oldham.


Working closely with Project Managers and colleagues across FCHO, you'll help ensure projects are aligned to our Corporate Plan, clearly defined, and deliver measurable value for customers and colleagues.

The impact you'll make




As a Business Analyst, you'll provide analytical insight and clarity to projects, helping the organisation understand problems, define requirements and develop effective solutions. You'll work across multiple projects, supporting strong decision-making, robust governance and consistent delivery standards.


You'll also contribute to the ongoing development of FCHO's Project Delivery Framework, sharing knowledge and best practice across the PMO.

You will:



Support the validation of business cases and identification of project benefits. Lead scoping activities to support effective project initiation. Identify and engage key stakeholders through structured stakeholder analysis. Carry out process mapping, gap analysis and root cause analysis to support project delivery. Facilitate workshops and interviews to capture and document business requirements and user stories. Translate business needs into clear, structured specifications for project teams, ICT and suppliers. Assess data and system impacts, working with business, BI and ICT teams to align requirements. Identify and support the management of project risks and change requests. Support testing activities to ensure solutions meet agreed requirements. Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of BA standards, tools and best practice within the PMO.

Our ideal candidate




You'll be an analytical, curious and collaborative Business Analyst who enjoys working at pace and helping organisations turn insight into action. You'll be comfortable engaging with a wide range of stakeholders and confident communicating complex information clearly.

You will have:



Proven experience in business analysis, including process mapping and requirements gathering. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to understand problems using data and evidence. A good understanding of project methodologies and how business analysis supports project delivery. Experience working with ICT and technical teams to develop and implement specifications. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate between business and technical audiences. Clear and persuasive written skills to produce high-quality documentation. A customer-focused mindset and collaborative approach. The ability to work across multiple projects and operational areas. Experience Working in Housing is desirable though not essential.
