We are currently looking to hire a Business Analyst to join the Specialty Business Change and Transformation team. This role will be the link between our stakeholders in our Specialty trading divisions, IT Development Teams and external system suppliers.


As Business Analyst, you will discuss requirements with the broking divisions, showcase our new platform technology and how this will benefit them on a daily basis. You will understand any changes that may be needed and will liaise with the Development Team to get these changes made.


Role responsibilities:

  • The elicitation, analysis and validation of both system and business requirements to an appropriate level of detail to enable effective development of new or changed software, systems and business processes
  • Managing product sprint cycles, working with the business to prioritise change, agreeing sprint scope with the business and development team and tracking the associated progress
  • The management of requirements throughout the whole of the delivery lifecycle. Facilitating if necessary, the negotiation of trade-offs that are both acceptable to key stakeholders and within budgetary, technical, regulatory and any other constraints.
  • Act as the conduit between IT, Operations, Data and Finance teams ensuring requirements are understood and each stakeholder has appropriate involvement
  • To provide oversight and management of User Acceptance Testing utilising the appropriate techniques and tools. Reports on the outcome of testing and can translate and prioritise risk to ensure those risks associated with the change are understood by all stakeholders
  • Utilise market knowledge to bring the art of the possible and creative thinking to solving business challenges
Qualifications:

Your Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Ability to work quickly, efficiently and methodically
  • Some experience of web and cloud technologies and agile methodologies
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Detailed and thorough, you can see trends that others can\'t and are comfortable explaining this to others.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with senior managers and other key internal and external stakeholders
  • Good understanding of Insurance Operations, Data, Credit Control and Finance
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of insurance principles, products and services
  • An understanding of regulatory requirements
  • Eligible to work in the UK
