The Business Analyst role transforms raw data into actionable insights through data extraction, analysis and reporting. This role is responsible for analysing sales and marketing performance data, including lead pipelines, call metrics, deal performance, and campaign outcomes. They support decision-making across departments by building dashboards, highlighting trends and monitoring KPI's.
Typical tasks
Extract, clean, and analyse large datasets to identify trends and performance
Produce monthly financial reports, forecasts, and variance analysis including daily/weekly performance of sales teams (e.g. calls made, leads contacted, conversion rates)
Analyse the full lead lifecycle from acquisition to close (lead >pitch >deal >revenue)
Evaluate effectiveness of inbound marketing campaigns and channels
Segment data to understand trends in deal sizes, sales cycle lengths, win rates, and lost reasons
Support performance-based initiatives such as commissions, bonuses, and performance reviews
Monitor pipeline health and generate early warnings for underperformance
Identify sales process bottlenecks and suggest improvements
Support budgeting and long-term planning processes
Support departments with data-driven insights and act as a bridge between business units
Prepare dashboards and reports for management to assist with performance reviews
Gather and document business requirements for new systems/processes
Analyse existing workflows and identify improvement opportunities
Implement or support deployment of AI-based tools (e.g. automated reporting, AI-powered insights)
Required Skills

Stakeholder engagement and communication
Knowledge of Metabase (desirable)
