, you will play a pivotal role in identifying tender opportunities, leading successful bid submissions, and shaping our commercial strategy. You will work closely with our construction teams to translate technical information into persuasive proposals that win contracts and drive sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and assess bid opportunities across public and private sectors.
Lead and manage end-to-end bid processes (PQQs, ITTs, framework submissions).
Collaborate with technical teams to produce clear, competitive proposals.
Develop pricing strategies, win themes, and compelling value propositions.
Draft business cases, contractual documentation, and commercial models.
Build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and supply chain partners.
Conduct market analysis and forecasting to guide bidding strategies.
Support post-bid reviews and continuous improvement in proposal quality.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
In-depth knowledge of UK procurement frameworks (e.g., Proactis, CCS, SCAPE).
Strong communication skills with experience writing formal submissions.
Commercial understanding of contract pricing and financial modelling.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with bid software is a plus.
Understanding of digital construction tools and CRM systems.
Degree in Management, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Desirable Attributes
Experience in bid writing, tender coordination, or business development within the construction industry.
APMP, Shipley, or similar bid management certification.
Experience working with SMEs or start-ups in construction.
Knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 27001) and construction H&S compliance
