Location: Knutsford (2-3 days on-site)
Contract Duration: Until 31/03/2026
Day Rate: 775 via PAYE/Umbrella
About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Business Architect with strong expertise in core banking and current account journeys - including lending, account switching, and operational platform design. This role will partner closely with senior business stakeholders across multiple workstreams to deliver robust, scalable, and secure solutions that align with strategic technology roadmaps.
You'll take a lead role in shaping end-to-end architecture, ensuring systems are resilient, regulatory-compliant, and support the organisation's long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead solution and technical architecture for loans, current and savings accounts, and related operational platforms.
Design and deliver scalable, resilient, and secure solutions aligned with enterprise strategies.
Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and project managers to translate business needs into actionable technical designs.
Define integration patterns and maintain current and target state architecture.
Advise on appropriate technologies and challenge vendor proposals to ensure alignment with strategy.
Support innovation and cost-effective design decisions while mitigating risk.
Skills & Experience
Deep understanding of core banking systems.
Strong grasp of risk management within architectural design and delivery.
Awareness of banking cost drivers and ability to design cost-effective solutions.
Excellent communication skills to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
