About the role
The role will own and develop the overarching Business Change Management strategy and framework for EMR that maximises successful benefits realisation, long term embedment and user adoption of projects.
The Business Change Manager has responsibility for driving EMR's Business Change strategy at a Portfolio level, in addition to more tactical change activity at a Project level.
The Business Change Manager reports directly to the PMO Manager. The role will provide specialist, tailored support, training and mentoring to the EMR project community to increase overall Business Change Management understanding and capability.
Key responsibilities include:
Accountable for developing and driving the maturity of the EMR Business Change Management strategy across the Portfolio, engaging with all levels of the business from Executives to front line colleagues
Manage colleagues in a matrix delivery model to ensure that Business Change activity is completed on programmes and projects on time and to the right quality standard
Develop and deliver Business Change activity on the highest complexity projects, including stakeholder management, impact assessments, communications and engagement, training and support models
Review, assess and advise on Business Change plans for smaller projects, providing coaching and mentoring where required
Develop and deliver the Business Change resource requirement for EMR projects, providing guidance and support for this resource when in the business
Provide regular Business Change Management updates to Executives, escalating any risks and issues that require support
Anticipate change resistance and create mitigation plans to minimise this
Capture data to define and measure key success metrics
Support and engage with Leadership, increasing buy-in and driving top-down Business Change activity across EMR
Provide coaching and mentoring for project teams through the development of a Business Change Management community of best practice, enabling the upskilling of colleagues
About you
We are looking for someone who has:
Relevant Change Management qualification (e.g. Prosci, CCMP) or equivalent experience required
Expert in Business Change Management practices, principles, frameworks and tools
Solid understanding of how people go through change and the underlying processes connected to this
Demonstrable ability to develop and drive continuous improvement of end-to-end Business Change Management activity across a complex portfolio
A self-starter, with the ability to switch between strategic and operational activities, whilst directing and influencing colleagues up to an Executive level
Hands-on experience identifying problems at an early stage and creating mitigation plans, sharing these with senior stakeholders
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills as well as being able to communicate at all levels, with supporting knowledge and understanding of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Adaptability and flexibility in working in ambiguous situations
Ability to work with all levels of an organisation, from front line colleagues to Executives
Familiar with Project Management methodologies and phases of the project lifecycle
