Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Business Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in analysing client operations, implementing tailored ERP solutions, and advising care providers on strategic and regulatory improvements. This role requires in-depth knowledge of the UK care sector, CQC standards, and digital transformation in health and social care settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive business assessments of domiciliary care agencies and care homes to identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities.
- Design and deliver bespoke consultancy solutions to improve CQC compliance, staff management, record-keeping, and service quality.
- Lead the implementation of ERP and digital management systems, including user training and system optimisation.
- Collaborate with client stakeholders to align business processes with regulatory and commercial best practices.
- Monitor post-implementation performance and provide ongoing support and optimisation advice.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, CQC regulatory updates, and digital health innovations to advise clients accordingly.
- Prepare detailed reports, action plans, and strategic roadmaps tailored to client objectives.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a consultancy, operational, or transformation role within the UK health and social care sector.
- Proven experience implementing ERP or care management software (e.g. CarePlanner, PeoplePlanner, Access Care, Log my Care).
- Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations, UK employment practices in care, and operational compliance frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, report writing, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead transformation projects and drive measurable outcomes.
- Strong communication, leadership, and training facilitation skills.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Health/Social Care Management, Business, IT, or related field.
Desirable
- Experience with system integration, workforce planning tools, or digital auditing frameworks.
- Project Management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile).
- Knowledge of NHS Digital standards and interoperability protocols.
