Business Data Security Analyst
Salary 53,293 with guaranteed pay progression after 12 months, 10% annual bonus potential with 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays and a company pension scheme with highly competitive contribution rates.

Location: Royal Mail Mount Pleasant Mail Centre, Farringdon Road, London, EC1A 1BB 3 days per week. 3 days per week. Flexibility required to travel to customer and Royal Mail sites as the business requires.
As a Business Data Security Analyst, you'll analyse sensitive datasets for government and commercial customers--using geo-spatial and advanced analytics to surface risks, uncover patterns, pinpoint root causes and present strategies for risk mitigation and service integrity.
This role is collaborative and customer-facing, working across Royal Mail functions and directly with clients to turn analysis into measurable outcomes.

About the role
Reporting to the Head of Customer Security, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct sensitive data analysis for government and commercial services.
  • Manage and present complex security data sets, including geo-spatial visualizations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, and GIS.
  • Ensure contractual KPIs are monitored, identify slippage, and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Project manage IT refresh programs supporting confidential services for government contracts.
  • Engage face-to-face with customers and collaborate across Royal Mail functions to gather security data and deliver secure business insights.
  • Perform environmental scanning to assess the impact of business changes on Customer Security services.
About You
  • What you'll bring proven experience and integrity to this critical role, along with:
  • Strong IT and data management skills, including geo-spatial presentation and visualization tools.
  • Experience managing large data sets and performing statistical analysis within complex organisations.
  • Ability to build strategic relationships internally and externally, including with UK regulatory, law enforcement, and intelligence communities.
  • Exceptional discretion and integrity, working to the highest confidentiality standards (TS - STRAP).
  • Willingness to undergo Developed Vetting as part of onboarding.
  • A degree in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Forensic Science, or Digital Forensics (desirable).
