Rotherham Music is responsible for the delivery of high-quality music services across the borough, from teaching in schools, encompassing whole class teaching, small group and individual tuition, and ensembles to adult learning, community engagement programmes and collaborative programming across events and venues throughout the borough. The service is also a consortium member of the South Yorkshire Music Hub, working with partners regionally and nationally to deliver high quality music education and experiences for 5-18-year-olds.
We are looking for Business Development and Information Manager who will work alongside the Music Service Manager to develop strategic business plans for the service, implement financial forecasting, dynamic pricing strategies and help develop our fundraising strategy.
You will also work closely with our Service to Schools Manager and the Community Music Manager to develop appropriate SLA's, Funding Agreements and Contracts for partnerships and service delivery.
You will also prepare all financial and statistical evidence for reporting against funder schemes.
You will line manage the Admin and Business Support Assistant, overseeing the accuracy of data collection and analysis and ensuring high quality customer service for front line enquiries.
We are looking for somebody with:
Proven experience of managing budgets and developing successful fundraising strategies.
Knowledge and experience of audience development programmes and evaluation techniques
Knowledge and experience of current Safeguarding requirements relating to education settings & working with vulnerable communities
Experience of working with a diverse range of audiences, and a good understanding of current equalities, inclusion and accessibility practices
Experience of managing, coaching and developing staff teams and volunteers
Experience of using a range of computer applications and ICT including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation software, internet and e-mail
Experience of providing customer service to the public and other organisations in a high volume and fast paced multi-channel environment
Knowledge and experience of Music Education Hubs is desirable but not essential.
