Business Development Associate





Bridge Carbon LLC is a London-based international carbon project developer committed to building a world-class carbon finance organization that defines the standards for quality, integrity, and transparency across the voluntary carbon markets. The Company utilizes best-in-class carbon methodologies, as well as third-party digital monitoring, reporting, and verification (dMRV) processes to ensure that every ton of carbon credits created can be traced directly to reductions achieved by the Company's carbon removal activities.

The Role:

has responsibility to support growth and investment projects through research of new opportunities, generation of leads and investor relationships. Carries out financial modelling, supports due diligence process and deal negotiations. This is a key professional role, working closely with the CEO and members of the executive committee.




Key responsibilities include:





Opportunity research and analysis:

Conduct research on new project, market segment and investor opportunities, and stay current with and report on industry trends and competitor activities.

Financial Modelling:

Evaluate financial returns of existing and new carbon offset project opportunities, including but not limited to detailed financial modelling. Ensure models and inputs are accurate, flexible, transparent, and easy to use and understand.

Due Diligence:

Manage and coordinate due diligence processes for investors, lenders, and other partners. Maintain a comprehensive and up to date data set and business development materials.

Opportunity development:

Help to identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with carbon credit forward buyers, project investors, and lenders. Manage the pipeline process. + Develop and own the project opportunity pipeline tracker and pipeline reporting.
+ Identify and build relationships with potential new partners; develop the initial understanding of project or investment opportunities.
+ Support senior leaders in the business development discussions and investment negotiations.

Material preparation:

Support preparation of investor, shareholder, board, and business development materials.

Business Understanding:

Achieve a strong understanding of evolving carbon market trends, standards, regulatory developments, and support Bridge Carbon's efforts to adapt to these trends.

Coordination:

Closely coordinate with other parts of the Bridge Carbon organization to ensure that new business opportunities are in line with on-the-ground market realities, operational capabilities, carbon methodologies, etc. Coordination with the finance team to ensure that forecasts are tied to actual monthly reporting frameworks.

Partner relationship management:

Support the regular relationship management and reporting to existing investors, lenders, and other partners.



Qualifications or specialized knowledge/experience required:






Minimum of a university level degree in relevant field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting or relevant field. Strong analytical and data analysis skills Proven experience in financial modeling Market research and lead generation expertise Highly proficient with Microsoft office suite, especially in Excel and PowerPoint.

Location:

London, remote with 1-2 days in office as needed
