Role Overview
The Home Business Development & Design Specialist plays a pivotal role in driving sales growth, nurturing client relationships, and delivering exceptional design services across both domestic and international markets. This dynamic role requires a passionate individual with strong interpersonal and strategic skills to expand business opportunities and uphold service excellence. Growing and retaining clients transitioning from Apparel to Home by leveraging existing relationships, cross-category opportunities, and tailored design services.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Client Development
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Home and Apparel sectors.
Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with clients, including those placing smaller orders, to encourage repeat business and upselling.
Proactively convert leads & referrals into confirmed sales opportunities.
Design Service Project Expertise
Conduct in-depth consultations to understand client needs, project goals, timelines, and budgets. Translate client vision into actionable design briefs that align with brand values and deliver exceptional results. Provide design services for projects of varying scale and complexity, both locally and internationally, adapting to diverse client needs and cultural contexts.
Expert in AutoCAD and space planning, optimizing layouts for furniture, lighting fixtures, and more to enhance functionality and flow. Confidently conduct site visits to capture precise measurements and assess existing conditions such as electrical points, and walkways.
Deliver impactful design presentations using advanced PowerPoint skills. Clearly communicate concepts and proposals to clients, ensuring alignment and throughout the project.
Manage projects from concept to completion, including timeline creation, cost estimation, (Ensuring Budget includes additional throughout project, such as curtains & wallpaper, and accessories.) Collaborate closely with Operations and internal teams to ensure seamless execution and timely delivery.
Oversee installations to the highest standards, ensuring every detail is thoughtfully executed.
Networking & Brand Representation
Attend industry events and networking functions to build relationships with potential clients, particularly within the Apparel sector.
Represent the brand with professionalism and enthusiasm, acting as a key ambassador for the home division.
Training & Public Engagement
Confidently deliver public speaking engagements, training sessions, store huddles, and represent the team at events when the lead is unavailable.

Exceptional ability to connect with individuals across all levels and demographics, including high-calibre clients such as CEOs, celebrities, as well as aspiring clients.
Experience, Skills, and Knowledge
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management within the interior design or home sector.
Strong understanding of design principles and project execution.
Experience working with high-calibre clients and managing cross-border projects is a plus.
Comfortable with public speaking and leading training sessions.
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
