The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Director (Europe-based) to strengthen our commercial team. This role will focus on driving sales of hVIVO's clinical site services, lab services, and human challenge trials (ex-USA), with particular emphasis on clients across Northern Europe.
Main Responsibilities:

This is a hands-on, client-facing role with responsibility for achieving ambitious sales targets through proactive business development and account management.
Develop and execute a sales strategy for clinical site and lab services, ensuring alignment with hVIVO's growth objectives
Proactively identify, prospect, and engage new clients in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors
Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring long-term client satisfaction and repeat business
Manage the full business development cycle from lead generation to contract signature
Represent hVIVO at industry conferences and networking events, promoting our capabilities and identifying new opportunities
Host client visits and conduct off-site client meetings as needed
Collaborate closely with Business Operations, and other Commercial functions to ensure smooth delivery and client alignment
Provide accurate, timely updates to the BD opportunity pipeline and sales forecasts
Skills & Experiences:
Profile & Skills
Proven track record of business development in clinical research, CRO services, or life sciences (essential)
Strong network within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors in Europe
Experience selling complex clinical or laboratory services, ideally Phase I or challenge trial-related
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Fluency in English required; proficiency in German, French, or another European language highly desirable
Results-driven, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
