THE ROLE



We are looking for someone with a proven track record of developing and managing intermediary relationships and acquiring defined contribution (DC) new business. Reporting into the Director of Business Development the individual will have an in-depth understanding of the UK workplace pension and retirement market, be responsible for maintaining business plans for their panel of intermediaries, and act as an ambassador for Smart Pension.

Manage a panel of UK advisers to acquire new business Achieve annual targets delivering profitable and sustainable growth Plan and deliver campaigns to maximise new business opportunities Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR



The skills, experience, and aptitudes we are looking for are listed below but please don't be discouraged from applying if you don't meet every single one of these criteria - having a 'can do' attitude is sometimes more important than being able to tick every box:




Ideally at least 8+ years' experience in the Financial Services Industry, the pension/retirement sector is desired Knowledge of the UK DC Master Trust market, the trends and policy shaping the industry and factors affecting members' retirement outcomes Proven success in business development activities across the sales cycle to meet revenue goals Excellent presentation skills and delivery at all levels of an organisation Customer-centric and commercial mindset Full accountability and strategic relationship management of a selected portfolio of intermediaries Experienced working with Trustees and Pension lawyers is a plus, but not imperative An existing network of advisers and employee benefit consultants (EBCs) is a plus, but not imperative Entrepreneurial attitude, accepts and tackles goals with enthusiasm
