Go Zero target prospects and customers will typically include: Hospitality businesses that are independent and those that are national, have multiple sites, a centralised procurement function and complex compliance requirements. Additionally due to our proprietary products and services, our target prospects and customers also include Fleet/Workplace, Education, Business Parks, Retail and Family Attractions. You will develop and nurture client relationships to achieve company objectives to build a destination fuelling network of the future.
OUTCOMES AGAINST WHICH YOU WILL BE MEASURED:
You will be responsible for winning new business, initiating and developing opportunities for the company. Acting as a key representative for Go Zero to increase brand and company awareness and drive a subsequent increase in sales/business.
You will maintain responsibility for identifying leads, obtaining meetings with potential new clients, attending and supporting surveys for installation quotes and effectively utilise the CRM to ensure all prospects are efficiently managed. Client presentations will be of high quality, and you will seek to achieve a high "win rate" on tenders and proposals submitted direct to prospects and partners.
You will possess a flexible attitude that will allow you to alter work plans to seize new opportunities.
You will assume responsibility for managing the pricing of potential work and getting all pricing signed off prior to submission by the relevant Manager/Director. Utilise your commercial awareness to ensure contracts are competitive yet financially viable to meet business and customer expectations. Develop a sound understanding of costs associated with labour, plant and timing of operations. Furthermore, you will identify issues that would affect productivity or costs of construction work associated with EV charger installations.
Think innovatively to identify revenue producing opportunities not immediately apparent. Embrace internal or market-led changes, amending your approach where necessary, to ensure gross margin targets are met and outstanding service and quality of installation work is maintained.
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills. Build and maintain strong working relationships, communicating clearly with all client representatives, along with colleagues at Go Zero. Working closely with the Installations department, you'll ensure a professional handover of client relationship to the installations team and project managers. Constantly develop your skills as a negotiator and relationship builder, able to quickly form an in-depth understanding of the customer's business to effectively identify solutions that fit well with the customer's strategy and needs.
You will need to develop a thorough understanding of the EV market, and particularly the EV charger market. This will include an in-depth knowledge of competitive products and services, the growth opportunity areas in the UK, what solutions are needed by each client type and your target audience for each model of charger or solution in our range. You will also be expected through personal development and training, understand the aspects and requirements that are associated to installing EV chargers and the associated infrastructure.
You will be an advocate and champion of the benefits of Electric Vehicles and the improvements they can and will deliver through installing a destination fuelling network of the future.
Be forthcoming with idea generation and receptive to feedback to enable personal development. To execute this effectively you will self-motivate, recognising both your strengths and areas for improvement, demonstrating a commitment to your personal development. Performance will be measured and closely monitored. You will take ownership of managing your specified KPIs and will seek out support to enable your success.
Business Development Managers are standalone, self-motivated and results driven. In this position you commit to "lead from the front" in terms of work ethic and attitude. As an ambassador for Go Zero, you'll ensure you operate within Company values at all times.
