The Role
We're looking for an energetic and results-driven
Business Development Executive
to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys building relationships, re-engaging past clients, and converting interest into new opportunities. You'll be at the forefront of our client communication efforts--managing follow-up campaigns, nurturing leads, and ensuring every customer interaction reflects the Starlight brand.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Nurturing & Follow-Up:
Manage targeted
follow-up to email campaigns
with the aim to gain a quotation or appointment.
Track campaign effectiveness and adjust messaging to improve engagement and conversion rates.
Linked In and Social Management
o Plan, execute and follow up on social media prospecting campaigns along with posting regular updates about Starlight's latest projects.
Grow Connections on Linked In
Client Engagement & Live Chat Management:
Manage the
live chat
on the Starlight Exhibitions website, responding promptly to enquiries and turning conversations into qualified leads.
Deliver outstanding customer service through professional, friendly, and solution-oriented communication.
Reignite Dormant Accounts:
Identify and re-engage
dormant or lapsed accounts
with tailored outreach strategies.
Develop and implement reactivation plans to win back previous clients and encourage repeat business.
Pipeline & CRM Management:
Maintain accurate records of all interactions and opportunities in the CRM system.
Support the sales team with prospect qualification, meeting scheduling, and proposal follow-up.
Collaboration & Growth:
Work closely with the marketing and sales to align outreach campaigns with brand messaging and upcoming exhibitions.
Contribute to business development strategies and share insights from customer interactions.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Your performance will be measured against clear, achievable goals, including:
Lead Response Time:
Average time to respond to live chat and email enquiries.
Follow-Up Conversion Rate:
% of follow-up leads converted into qualified opportunities.
Reactivation Success:
Number/value of dormant accounts successfully re-engaged.
Pipeline Growth:
Monthly increase in qualified opportunities added to CRM.
Skills & Experience
1 year+ experience in
business development, sales, or account management
(preferably in events, exhibitions, or creative industries).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in CRM and email marketing tools.
Confident managing
live chat
or similar client-facing communication channels.
Highly organised with excellent follow-up and time management skills.
A proactive, self-motivated attitude with a passion for customer engagement and growth.
