The Opportunity
We are seeking a driven and proactive
Business Development Executive
to join our growing team remotely from anywhere in the UK. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving new business by identifying, engaging, and qualifying potential clients. Experience or interest in
Identity and Access Management (IAM)
solutions such as
Okta
is a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities
Proactively generate leads through
email outreach, LinkedIn networking, and phone calls
.
Identify and research prospects across targeted industries and market segments.
Initiate meaningful conversations to understand client needs and challenges.
Qualify leads according to predefined criteria and hand off to the sales team.
Work closely with Account Executives to support strategic sales efforts.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the
CRM system
.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and relevant technologies.
Skills and Experience
Essential
Must have previous experience in a
B2B sales or business development role within the technology sector
Good understanding of sales processes and pipelines and the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
Experience in lead generation, qualification, and conversion.
Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills, with a keen commercial mindset.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain high productivity levels.
A collaborative approach with a focus on team success.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, active listener with the ability to build relationships quickly.
Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
Self-starter with a proactive, goal-oriented mindset.
Fluent in English.
Preferred
Familiarity with tools such as
LinkedIn Sales Navigator
, CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), prospecting tools (Lusha, Apollo etc) and email engagement tools.
Knowledge of IAM technologies
or experience engaging with clients in the
cybersecurity or SaaS
space is a plus -- especially
Okta
or similar platforms.
