Business Development Executive - Strategic Demand Creation & Go-to-Market



Location: London (Hybrid)

Salary: 50,000 base + 25,000 OTE

Reports to: Managing Director

Knit have partnered with a strategic brand consultancy that helps businesses challenge convention and unlock growth. For over two decades, they've worked with ambitious brands such as Campari, Novo Nordisk, Pret and PepsiCo.

They're a small, high-performing team that blends strategic thinking with creative provocation. Now looking for a Business Development Executive to help them find and nurture the next generation of clients. Someone bright, curious, and confident enough to open doors, build relationships, and nurture new business relationships.

They exist to help ambitious brands break out of conventions, think differently, and create the kind of change that moves markets.

Purpose of the Role



To operate at the front of their business development engine, proactively creating demand and identifying qualified opportunities for consultants to develop and close. This role combines the tactical execution of an SDR with the strategic acumen of a business development professional, ensuring prospects see our client as a trusted expert in solving brand-based business challenges.

Required Skills & Experience



Sales Development Expertise:

Proven experience in SDR or BDR roles, with strong outbound prospecting skills.

Strategic Business Development:

Ability to understand complex business challenges and position their solutions effectively.

Campaign Management:

Skilled in planning and executing multi-channel campaigns targeting senior stakeholders.

Content Utilisation:

Comfortable leveraging thought leadership, case studies, and event participation to drive engagement.

Tools & Tech:

Proficiency in CRM systems, sales engagement platforms, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

Communication:

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to craft compelling outreach messages.

Commercial Acumen:

Understand how brand challenges impact business performance and articulate value propositions clearly.

Brand Marketing:

Experience of working in an advertising or marketing agency would be preferable but not essential.

Performance Metrics



Activity & engagement metrics across campaigns (Campaigns run, Sequences, response rates, connections,(MQL) Engagements (SQL), Qualification calls, Discovery meetings, Number of qualified opportunities generated and added to pipeline. Pipeline value and conversion rates. Contribution to revenue growth through successful handover to consultants.

Interview process



Intro call: Approx. 20-30 minutes. A chance to get to know each other and chat through your experiences, motivations, and goals. Meet the team: In-person/video call. Approx. 1 hour. A chance to get to know the team, make sure we're the right fit for you (and vice versa) and ask any outstanding questions Sales skills assessment. Approx 30-45 minutes. A chance to dig deeper into your sales experience and show off what you know.
