Job Description

Jeaton Ltd is a leading UK distribution company based in Preston which supplies a wide range of industrial consumable products to a diverse range of customers within the industrial manufacturing sector.

The primary role of Business Development Executive will lead and manage the new business strategy for the Jeaton Group and will require previous sales experience, within ideally, a manufacturing or distribution background. The successful candidate will have a positive sales mindset and will be expected to facilitate the promotion of that culture through the organisation. The role is a full-time role and will report to the Internal Sales Manager position.

Key Responsibilities



Strong new business ethic focused on the divisions within the current business, new territories we operate in along with the identification of new opportunities. To be actively reviewing existing business and to be proactive in making outbound sales calls to all prospects, drop offs, lapsed customers and any new customers to generate revenue, develop business and secure margin. To ensure efficient handling of incoming customer contact (phone, e mail, social media etc) whilst always demonstrating the highest standard of customer service. To ensure that all customer quotations are followed up in a timely and effective manner. Identifying and progressing new opportunities to develop our market share. The ability to meet and exceed the company set realistic targets for your accounts, which include monetary and margin/profit from a number perspective but also activity focused against the company productivity targets. Working closely with all areas & divisions of the business to support our customers. Managing all the website enquiries, web orders and cash sales, qualifying to understand the potential. Understanding the needs and expectations of your customer, keeping them informed at each stage of the sales process with additional communication, involving other team members where needed. Proactively researching, developing, and implementing methods to provide high quality sales leads. Work closely with, fully support, and endorse both our external sales team and digital marketing team to help ensure successful sales campaigns, whilst managing and promoting the Jeaton brand. Ensure all customer and prospect contact information is obtained including e mail addresses, telephone, and customer job responsibility always, including periodic checking for accuracy and relevance. Managing and promoting the Jeaton brand, representing the company in a professional and welcoming manner. Customer led market research and competitor analysis, which in turn will help drive our supplier relationships and new business opportunities with the additional learning. Processing and adhering to a QMS contract review sales process, which supports and enables traceability for both ISO9001/AS9120 accreditations. To be fully conversant with the company ERP system and related customer-oriented data management processes Helping the business to progress and make improvement changes where possible to reduce time and save money.

Key Competencies Required



Previous proven experience working in a busy customer service and sales office environment. Excellent all-round IT skills - highly proficient with all modules of MS Office (e.g. strong data analysis and manipulation in Excel) - previous working knowledge and understanding of customer CRM processes. Strong communication skills - both inter-personal and written. High standards of personal presentation always. Customer focused individual.

Pay: 24,000.00-26,000.00 per year
