We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Business Development Intern to join our team for the summer. This is a unique opportunity to work at an early-stage organisation at the centre of a vibrant start-up ecosystem. You will work directly with the leadership team, playing a crucial role in our growth strategy and building the foundational relationships that will help our community thrive.


As a Business Development Intern your responsibilities will include:

Working closely with the leadership team to identify key individuals, academic institutions and enterprises. You will help establish and nurture relationships with them. Assembling and iteratively refining compelling presentations, grant applications, and proposals tailored to different audiences--from highly technical researchers to potential funders and community partners. Gathering, understanding, and communicating technical information from our engineering team. You will help us translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and accessible language. Researching potential markets, funding opportunities and strategic initiatives to help guide our strategic direction.

Requirements

We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about technology and entrepreneurship. The ideal candidate will have:

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas simply and effectively. Strong analytical and research skills; you are naturally curious and love to learn. A self-starter attitude, with the ability to work independently and take initiative in a dynamic environment. Excellent interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to build rapport and collaborate. A demonstrable interest in Artificial Intelligence, open source communities, high-tech businesses and/or collaborative approaches to engineering challenges. Previous experience creating presentations or proposals is a plus, but not required.

To be eligible for this position you must be currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree. This is a paid internship.
