We're now looking for a proactive Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand our client portfolio in the competitive 3PL market across the UK.
Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities within the 3PL sector. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of logistics operations, customer needs, and market dynamics. You'll work closely with operations, leadership teams and the MD to develop tailored solutions that meet client requirements and support long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in transport, warehousing, and integrated logistics services including customs.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients across various industries.
Understand client supply chain challenges and propose tailored 3PL solutions.
Lead the preparation of proposals, tenders, and presentations for potential clients.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote NFS 360 Connects services.
Track and report on pipeline activity, conversion rates, and revenue growth.
Qualifications
Proven experience in business development or sales within the 3PL, logistics, or supply chain sector.
Strong knowledge of transport operations, warehousing, inventory management, and value-added services.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to build trust and credibility with clients and internal stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Bachelor's degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
Able to speak French is a distinct advantage
