Business Development Manager - Fertility Supplements - Northern England
Our client is a science-based nutritional supplements organisation with a current focus on fertility and with a determination to expand into other disease areas. They have achieved great success through close links with healthcare professionals & fertility specialists, who recommend their products across the UK. They collaborate with many of the UK's leading fertility clinics, and have a reputation for quality and efficacy.
They are now increasing their activity, through increased market penetration and new product introductions, both with specialists and direct to consumers to further drive their sales growth.
As a BDM you will drive business growth within Fertility Clinics, Gynaecology, and Women's Health by
leveraging strong interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, and commercial acumen. This role requires building and maintaining high-quality relationships with healthcare professionals supported by a strong sales drive, creativity, and in-depth product and technical knowledge
Key responsibilities include:

  • Making credible, mutually respectful contacts with target clinicians, nurses, scientists and relevant managers
  • Establish rapport and gain regular access to the key recommenders, effectively communicating the benefits of the product offering
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and daily contact requirements
  • Provide solutions to customer problems by creative use of knowledge, contacts and resources
  • Identify business opportunities to grow the business in your area, gain agreement for and implement, according to agreed timescales and budgets
Candidate background:
  • Some relevant MedTech, Healthcare or pharmaceutical sales experience (2 years + ideally)
  • Evidence of ability to develop strong relationships with key personnel in customer unit
  • Science or life-science graduate preferred
  • A charismatic, goal-orientated individual, driven to succeed, resilient - "Fire in the belly."
  • Providing consistent, effort - willing and able to build the business along with his/her track record and career
  • Intellectually agile - can absorb and manipulate technical data to engage with customers on a "peer to peer" level to overcome business and clinical barriers to use and to achieve credibility with customers
Excellent basic salary, bonus and benefits package will be offered.
