Z Laboratory UK Limited is a UK-based company working closely with Universe Watch Trading Company Limited, a Hong Kong watch manufacturer established in 1974 with over 40 years of experience in the design, production and international distribution of watches and related accessories. Z Laboratory focuses on business development and brand expansion in the UK market, building agent networks and developing both B2B and B2C sales channels.

We are now looking for a

Business Development Manager

to help us further expand our B2B and B2C market operations in the UK.

We are looking for someone with proven sales experience, a strong understanding of consumer behaviour, and the ability to communicate effectively across both UK and Asian markets. The successful candidate will play a key role in connecting our UK operations with our manufacturing and design teams in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, ensuring close collaboration and market-driven product development.

Key Responsibilities



Develop new B2B clients, including retailers, distributors and agents, and maintain strong relationships with existing partners, while exploring new product demand and sales opportunities among existing B2B clients. Explore new B2C sales channels and increase our direct customer base in the UK through both online and offline initiatives.. Liaise with senior management to set annual sales strategies and targets, ensuring that targets are realistic and aligned with company goals. Conduct on-site market research in the UK by meeting clients and agents, understanding market trends, and analysing consumer preferences and pricing. Communicate with the factory and technical team in HK regarding new product launches, product customisation and stock planning. Manage and support key customer accounts, prepare proposals, quotations, and sales presentations for UK clients. Monitor sales performance, prepare reports, and provide recommendations to senior management. Provide product and sales training to junior sales and marketing staff when necessary. Keep up to date with product trends, competitors, and changes in the UK market.

Requirements



Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience). At least 3 to 5 years of experience in business development or B2B/B2C sales, ideally within consumer goods, watches, jewellery or similar industries. Proven record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth. Strong understanding of B2B relationship management and online marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay. Strong research skills are needed,particularly in import/export and cross-border trade. Working experience in the UK and Asia (especially China) is preferred. Excellent communication and analytical skills. Fluency in English; Mandarin is an advantage for liaising with overseas suppliers. Willingness to travel abroad for business meetings, trade shows, or supplier visits when required.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 55,500.00 per year
