The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing company in a
fully remote and field-based role
, ideal for someone who thrives on autonomy, travel, and face-to-face customer engagement.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Business Development Manager will focus on securing new business specifically within the
domestic window cleaning and exterior cleaning market
across London and the wider region. You will be responsible for visiting customers, demonstrating equipment on-site, and building relationships with independent window cleaners, small exterior cleaning companies, and mobile operators.
This role is
not office-based
. You will manage your own diary, plan customer visits, and work independently while representing the STREAMLINE brand to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
Target new business opportunities across London and surrounding areas, focusing on
domestic window cleaners and exterior cleaning companies
.
Conduct regular
on-site and on-the-road customer visits
, performing equipment demonstrations and understanding customer requirements.
Promote STREAMLINE products and solutions, providing expert guidance tailored to domestic and exterior cleaning operations.
Manage your own schedule, appointments, and territory to ensure consistent and effective customer engagement.
Maintain accurate records of
Meaningful Sales Interactions (MSIs)
and report on sales performance.
Keep CRM (Pipedrive) updated with contact details, notes, quotes and opportunities.
Raise quotes and process orders via our ERP system (OrderWise).
Build strong industry connections and network with similar businesses to gather insights and identify prospects.
Represent STREAMLINE professionally at trade events, demonstrations, and training sessions as required.
Candidate Requirements
Proven experience in a sales role, ideally field-based.
Experience selling to tradespeople, small businesses, or equipment users is desirable.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work independently without daily supervision.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Highly organised with strong time and territory management skills.
CRM/ERP knowledge advantageous.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to customer service.
Full UK driving licence required - extensive travel is part of the role.
