We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team in a new care business specializing in niche services, including mental health support and childcare. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving business growth, securing key partnerships, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This position requires strong leadership abilities, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record in business development within the care sector, particularly in obtaining necessary accreditations (including CQC and Ofsted) and procuring contracts from providers such as local authorities and charities.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage business development initiatives to expand our niche care services in mental health and childcare.
Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth, secure funding, and enhance service offerings.
Oversee profit & loss management to ensure financial targets are met while prioritising sustainable care delivery.
Supervise team members, providing guidance and support to foster a high-performance culture focused on quality care.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices tailored to the care industry.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, local authorities, charities, and other providers to enhance business development efforts.
Manage projects from inception to completion, including accreditation processes (such as CQC and Ofsted) and contract procurement, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
Analyse market data and trends in mental health and childcare to inform decision-making and improve service performance.
Experience
Proven experience in business development roles within the care industry, with a focus on niche areas like mental health and childcare.
Strong background in strategic planning and execution within the care sector, including obtaining necessary accreditations from relevant bodies such as CQC and Ofsted.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams in a care-focused environment.
Experience managing profit & loss statements and understanding financial metrics in the context of care services.
Supervising experience in a fast-paced care setting is preferred.
Proven track record in procuring contracts from providers such as local authorities and charities.
Knowledge of process improvement methodologies is a plus.
