The successful candidate will play a key role in driving growth and help form the strategy to enable our high level of service to be of benefit to a greater number of customers.

The role will be largely field based with regular reporting back into the Head Office in Lutterworth, Leicestershire.

What Will Your Day-to-Day Look Like?



increase sales of the business through the creation of a sales pipeline and supporting and planning of effective sales campaigns

research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets

seek out the appropriate contact in an organisation

generate leads and cold call prospective customers

actively monitor and follow up on tenders via available portals

meet with customers/clients face-to-face or over the phone/on-line

fully utilise CRM systems to record and track activity

foster and develop relationships with customers, clients, partners and colleagues, so that you can generate repeat business as well as finding new opportunities

understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a solution of how to meet these

have a good understanding of the businesses' products or services and be able to provide a consultative approach to address customers requirements

discuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing function

negotiate pricing with customers, and suppliers in some cases, whilst effectively liaising with the Operations and Commercial teams as appropriate

research and attend seminars, conferences and events to build your business's network and profile

Who are we looking for as a Business Development Manager



Someone with a natural ability to sell

Applicants should have at least five years B2B field sales experience

Pace and Efficiency: Ability to work at a fast pace and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Strong Communicator: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, present and negotiate effectively.

An interest in commercial vehicle/patient transport sector is an advantage.

Is well organised, reliable, resilient, and has the ability to work on your own initiative.

Basic Salary of 35k + Commission (OTE 50k+)
