We have big plans to continue growing the business, our products, our technology and our people. About the role The Business Development team represents LendInvest to the Intermediary market. This role involves engaging with brokers, directly authorised and appointed representatives, directly or via the Clubs and Networks that they may belong to across Midlands and South West regions. Your role is to raise awareness about LendInvest, and the Business Development team are expected to build relationships and to source new business from brokers initially allocated by postcode to them. Your key responsibility will be to educate and add value to these brokers whilst promoting the LendInvest product suite in conjunction with the systems, process and culture. The main focus of this role will be to work with the existing panel and build a panel of brokers who will consistently place business with LendInvest. You will have a strong, confident knowledge of the product offerings, BTL, Specialist Homeowner, Bridge and Development along with the market and competitors. In particular, you will be:

  • Sourcing new business and qualifying enquiries and be confident in structuring a deal across those lines
  • Guiding brokers on the best route of application and working closely with the internal sales desk to get applications submitted and deals closed
  • Credible when explaining to brokers how our different origination systems, for different products work, and the requirements to package a case for success
  • Building awareness of our brand and products with the aid of our marketing team.
  • Building, identifying, managing and maintaining a panel of intermediary introducers providing a high value added service to encourage repeat business.
  • Promoting our products and services and existing online systems for Buy-to-Let, Residential and Regulated Bridging to intermediaries so they are confident to use LendInvest, understanding our processes and criteria
  • Promoting our criteria, screening and closing short term deals for Bridging, either directly or indirectly with the assistance of the internal sales desk, underwriters and case managers
  • Managing the ongoing pipeline, along with the internal team, pushing pre-signed applications to help achieve company targets
Working remotely, you will not only be an ambassador of LendInvest but you must be relied upon to maintain the company ethos and culture. Have the ability to manage your own time and responsibilities well, whilst being accountable for your business. You will need to embrace the technology provided to do your job effectively, including CRM systems and technologies to enable remote meetings and working. Most of all, you will need the ability to prioritise your time on activities that will further your success and help the company reach targets. Key objectives

  • Deal with all our brokers and borrowers professionally and fairly
  • Provide our intermediaries and borrowers with a great service that enhances our reputation in the market
About you
  • Working experience as a Business Development Manager with a proven sales track record
  • Proficiency with CRM (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Excellent written communication skills and accomplished presenting ability, in person and online
  • Ability to capture and explain best practice in the deal process and to give training or guidance to colleagues when needed.
  • You will be expected to give feedback to the Head of Sales, Commercial Director and wider business to help shape the proposition and processes
  • Ability to keep up to date with industry knowledge of the financial services market
  • Ability to work collaboratively from a distance; you will be working away from head office but you\xe2\x80\x99ll need to adopt the LendInvest business practices and culture
