We are now looking for a National Business Development Manager National House Builders to develop and grow a new sales channel working directly with UK housebuilders.


Traditionally, our sales model has focused on direct engagement with roofing contractors however, this role will establish a complementary specification-led channel, working directly with UK housebuilders to create a strong pipeline of specification opportunities driving demand back through contractors and ultimately delivering sales through our national branch network.


Reporting to the Commercial Director, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping this channel from the ground up.

What you'll be doing:



Build strong relationships with key stakeholders within target UK housebuilders Proactively drive specification-led sales of SIG Roofing products Create, manage and convert a robust pipeline of specification opportunities Generate new leads through structured prospecting and market activity Develop compelling value propositions tailored to different customer personas Oversee the full sales lifecycle from lead generation and specification through to handover with internal account management teams Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure a joined-up, customer-focused approach Act as a subject matter expert across SIG Roofing's product portfolio Deliver against agreed sales, margin and KPI targets Provide insight on market trends, competitor activity and strategic opportunities Act as a professional brand ambassador for SIG Roofing Commit to continuous self-development and performance improvement

What you'll have:



Proven experience in specification sales, ideally within roofing, construction or building materials Strong understanding of the UK housebuilding and contracting landscape Demonstrated success in strategic negotiation and relationship management Experience setting up SLAs and driving long-term brand loyalty Solid knowledge of UK building regulations and compliance requirements Commercially astute with strong data analysis capability Technically aware and confident presenting complex solutions Highly organised with excellent time-management skills Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels Comfortable working autonomously in a national role Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide
