Business Development Manager

with a "hunter" mentality and a passion for industrial B2B sales? Do you thrive on identifying new opportunities, building lasting relationships, and converting leads into tangible sales?

This is a crucial role for our growth strategy, focusing heavily on generating new business, cultivating relationships with prospective clients, and securing high-value contracts for our packaging machinery and engineering services. You will be instrumental in expanding Packserve's market presence through proactive outreach and by leveraging leads generated through our modern marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:



New Business Generation:

Proactively identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities across various industrial sectors in the UK. This includes following up on leads generated through our marketing efforts and strategic outbound prospecting.

Pipeline Management:

Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, meticulously tracking progress and forecasting accurately using our CRM system.

Client Engagement:

Conduct thorough research to understand client needs and challenges, delivering tailored presentations and proposals that showcase Packserve's innovative solutions.

Relationship Building:

Develop strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers within target organisations, becoming a trusted advisor in packaging machinery and engineering.

Product Expertise:

Rapidly develop a deep understanding of Packserve's comprehensive range of packaging machinery and engineering services to articulate our value proposition effectively.

Market Intelligence:

Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market shifts to identify new opportunities and inform sales strategies.

Collaboration:

Work closely with the leadership team to align on sales strategy and continuously refine our new business approach. Collaborate with internal engineering and project teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and project delivery.

Territory Management:

Plan and execute client visits efficiently across the UK, managing your time and resources effectively to maximise impact.

Achieve Targets:

Consistently meet and exceed ambitious sales targets and KPIs related to lead generation, conversion rates, and revenue growth.

What We're Looking For:



Around

5 years of proven experience

in B2B Business Development or New Business Sales, preferably within an industrial, manufacturing, engineering, or capital equipment sector. A true

"hunter"

with a strong track record of identifying opportunities and converting new clients. Demonstrable experience working with and leveraging

CRM systems

(e.g., Pipedrive, HubSpot) for pipeline management and reporting.

Tech-savvy and digitally aware:

Comfortable with digital tools and enthusiastic about leveraging leads generated through modern marketing channels. Excellent

communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

with the ability to articulate complex technical solutions clearly and persuasively. Self-motivated, resilient, and highly organised, with the ability to work autonomously and manage a busy schedule of client engagements. Strong commercial acumen and a strategic approach to problem-solving. Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel extensively across the UK for client meetings. While not essential, previous experience in the packaging industry or with machinery sales would be a distinct advantage.
