Job Summary
CDW's Solution Sales organisation is in place to collaborate with sales and to be responsible for delivering high value outcomes and experiences to our existing and prospective customers across a variety of technology growth pillars including Hybrid Platforms, Modern Workspace, Security and Digital Enablement.
The Solution Sales organisation is made up predominantly of Business Development Professionals (sales specialists) and various levels of Solution Architects (presales technical resource).
The role of the Business Development Manager, Palo Alto Networks is focused on the below 5 areas:
Understand and Maintain an in-depth understanding of Security challenges and the Palo Alto Networks' Security Portfolio to actively and successfully drive positive business and profitable outcomes for both CDW and our customers
Be experienced in running and co-running (alongside the CDW sales teams and Solution Sales) a professional and winning sales engagement
Be able to proactively build value adding sales initiatives that build mindshare within CDW and that generates business
Be able to build strong and credible relationship with the internal sales teams and wider stakeholder community
Be experienced in building strong pipeline in an overlay sales approach
Key responsibilities
This role will be responsible for maximizing revenue and GP growth by driving close partnerships both internally and externally and aligning with the Palo Alto Networks and CDW's growth objectives. This will be supported with joint initiatives as per an agreed business plan.
Establish new relationships within Palo Alto Networks, CDW and externally within the client/prospect base
Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives/KPI's, including winning new Palo Alto Networks customers
Work in close partnership with the internal CDW Sales and Specialist teams to identify new opportunities whilst driving proactive development of converged pipeline.
Work in conjunction with Partner Management Team to help deliver the agreed joint business plan against defined milestones & metrics
Maintain and own any certifications requirements that support the vendor accreditation requirements
Understand and promote all relevant programs and promotions to maximize the sales opportunity.
Own and manage the Palo Alto Networks and associated services pipeline and forecast
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Demonstrable experience in delivering successful sales growth performance - running a structured sales cycle from start to finish
An existing understanding of email security and general Cyber Security market
Experience of working in sales environments and contributing to sales proposals, bid responses and customer meetings
Excellent interpersonal skills (articulate and engaging)
Experience in building positive working relationships with internal and external customer
Strong planning, organisation and reporting skills
