Based in Battersea, London, Food Republic delivers high quality food and drink products to clients across London and the South of England. We are one of the best food ingredients suppliers the city has to offer, with a BRC rating of AA+.

With a new purpose built state of the art facility, we are moving into an exciting new chapter of the business and are looking for the right candidate to increase sales to match the growth and ethos of the company.

The Role



Food Republic are looking for a self-motivated, personable and independent Business Development Manager who can show true initiative and hit the ground running to drive sales by establishing and maintaining positive relationships with new and existing customers.

This role will have responsibility for the building and realisation of the sales and business development revenue targets and growth of new and existing clients across food service and sales for our customer base.

The successful candidate will be expected to have strong experience and existing connections to customer bases in and around the London Area.

Their primary focus will be on nurturing existing customer relationships, identifying new prospects, and delivering exceptional customer service. They'll be instrumental in understanding our customers' comprehensive needs, aligning solutions, and influencing key stakeholders to drive growth and profitability.

They will be responsible for overseeing the conditions of customer relationships, bringing on new business, following up on business-leads and building on existing business, ensuring that competitive prices are secured, customer needs are met, and minimal impact is incurred on the operations of the company.

Training will be provided to cover the core responsibilities of the role.

The key responsibilities of a Business Development Manager include, but are not limited to:

Proactively sourcing new sales opportunities through various means including cold calling, following up on sales leads and building upon existing client bases. Designing and delivering targeted sales propositions on our products and services to prospective and existing customers. Negotiating the conditions of company/customer relationships, securing ongoing, stable business. Reporting on sales performance against budget, with actionable plans to address variances if necessary. Supporting any other needs of the Sales Team as required within reason.

The key skills and qualities of a Business Development Manager include, but are not limited to:

qualifications/knowledge

A minimum of 2 years' experience working in Sales within (FMCG )Food Service A strong negotiator with a passion for sales and the capacity to problem-solve A people person with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal A goal-oriented individual with proven success in exceeding sales targets Ability to analyse sales data, generate reports, and present findings Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel) Thorough knowledge and understanding of the food industry Customer focused with demonstrable experience building strong relationships Customer-driven with a collaborative and hands-on approach Ability to influence and persuade with a consultative sales style

Pay: 40,000.00-45,000.00 per year
