An exciting position has opened within Camelot Chilled Foods. Where you will be fully accountable for creating a customer base. Also, having the opportunity to develop a target portfolio of accounts. A positive attitude, coupled with a natural ability to achieve targets, build relationships, manage variety of work and enjoy travel. You will deliver on sales fundamentals of P&L management, forecast accuracy, pricing and deductions.
Operating area of role: Will be a role that requires travelling to meet customers. Areas could be London, Birmingham, Manchester etc. Will require to travel to head office when required.
Key responsibilities of this role will include:
Account Management:
Looking after existing and creating a new customer base and developing customer relationships. Understand the customers' needs/strategy to align and be the respected partner of choice.
Ensure day-to-day account issues are dealt with effectively & efficiently.
Account Development & Account Planning:
Build effective relationships through appropriate contact strategy.
Creating Pitch proposals for each client.
Construct/maintain robust defendable trading terms.
Prioritises key development opportunities to maximise sales and profitability.
P&L management & Selling:
Monthly monitoring and presentation of key KPIs.
Promotion evaluation where relevant & financial expenditure.
Manage and develop your portfolio of accounts through negotiation, agreements and implementation.
Drives distribution to new market channels - Handles negotiations to realise growth opportunities.
Build and secure internal approval of annual plans for the customers.
Accurate Volume and Spend Forecast accuracy.
Other Responsibilities:
Documents recommendations and solutions to issues and proposals.
Research - Identifying potential risk & opportunities.
Cross functional working internally with colleagues across all departments.
Networking - attending conferences and events to expand networks and stay informed about new trends.
What will make you successful?
To be successful you'll already have some fantastic sales experience under your belt. Our ideal candidate will have minimum 2 years' experience in a field sales role. You will be passionate, fast; results driven and enjoy working in a highly energetic and exciting environment.
In addition, you will also have:
Proven Commercial experience - ideally within the Food industry.
High level of understanding of Category knowledge and Retail experience
Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Numerate with good understanding of P&Ls
Ability to effectively communicate and influence using reliable data and facts.
Have a clean driving license - as the role will require being on the road.
