About C J Timms Electrical

C J Timms Electrical is a trusted, NICEIC-accredited electrical contractor with over 30 years' experience serving the East Midlands. We specialise in commercial electrical services for schools, industrial facilities, fit-out contractors, and commercial property operators.

We are growing our commercial client base and looking for a driven individual to lead our marketing and business development efforts.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for generating new business leads, building relationships with key decision-makers, and increasing brand awareness across our target sectors. This role blends sales support, outreach, and marketing coordination.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development

- Identify and contact potential commercial clients (manufacturers, fit-out firms, schools, etc.)

- Manage outbound email and call campaigns

- Build a pipeline of leads using LinkedIn, local networks, and trade directories

- Book and coordinate site assessments or intro calls for the director

Marketing

- Maintain and update the company website and social media presence

- Create and distribute monthly email newsletters and client updates

- Write short project case studies and client testimonials

- Improve local SEO and online listings (Google, Yell, TrustATrader, etc.)

CRM & Admin

- Update and manage our CRM system (Clik Service)

- Track follow-ups, email responses, and meeting outcomes

- Monitor marketing performance and suggest improvements

Key Skills & Experience

Required:

- Strong written and verbal communication

- Confident with email, phone outreach, and client contact

- Organised and able to manage multiple tasks

- Comfortable using basic digital tools (email platforms, social media, website CMS)

Desirable:

- Experience in marketing, sales, or admin within a trade, property, or B2B setting

- Familiarity with LinkedIn, Mailchimp, or Canva

- Interest in construction, facilities management, or education sectors
