About the Role



We're looking for an energetic and organised

Business Development & Marketing Coordinator

to help drive growth at

C J Timms Electrical

.

This role combines

sales outreach and client relationship management

with

marketing coordination

-- helping us win new work, strengthen client relationships, and raise our profile across the East Midlands.

You'll spend your time talking to people, identifying new opportunities, following up leads, and keeping our marketing presence sharp and consistent.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development



Identify and contact potential commercial clients (manufacturers, fit-out firms, schools, property managers, etc.) Reconnect with past and existing customers to explore upcoming projects Make outbound calls and emails to generate appointments and leads Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities using LinkedIn, directories, and local networks Book and coordinate site visits, introductory meetings, or video calls for the Director Track and follow up quotations and enquiries in

Clik Service (CRM)


Marketing & Brand Development



Maintain and update the company website and social media channels Create engaging updates, short project case studies, and testimonials Design and send monthly email newsletters or client updates Improve local SEO and online listings (Google Business Profile, Yell, TrustATrader, etc.) Support the creation of marketing materials for bids, tenders, or events Monitor marketing performance and suggest improvements

Skills & Experience



Essential



Strong verbal and written communication; confident speaking to clients by phone and in person Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities Basic digital literacy (email platforms, social media, CRM or CMS tools) Genuine interest in business growth, relationship building, and marketing

Desirable



Experience in sales, business development, or marketing (ideally B2B, trade, or property-related) Familiarity with LinkedIn, Mailchimp, or Canva Knowledge of the construction, facilities management, or education sectors
